When you receive your wig you want to wash it before installation. Fill your sink 1/3 of the way with warm water and add a quarter size of sulfate free Shampoo. You want to detangle the wig from the ends to the root with a large tooth comb before soaking your wig in the bath. I also recommend adding 2 table spoons of organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar to the water, this will open the cuticle of the hair before conditioning. While the hair is in the sink bath never scrub, run your finger through the hair loosing up any unwanted debris.
Fill your sink with clean warm water 1/3 of the way full. Dip your hair several times to remove the shampoo. You may have to refill the sink 3 times to remove the shampoo and debris. After rinsing the shampoo you want to refill your sink with clean warm water 1/3 of the way full, then apply liberal amount of conditioner to your wig. To distribute the conditioner through your wig , use a wide tooth comb. Then lay your wig in the warm water and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes.
Dip your wig several times in a warm water until all the conditioner is removed. Repeat filling the sink with warm water until the water is clear and there is no conditioning residue left on the wig. Allow your wig to air dry before styling. Do not rub the hair with the towel dab it allow it to air dry.
Remember never scrub your wig it will cause unwanted tangles and hair loss. you also want to wash your wig in between re-installs and never use heavy styling products on your unit. This will extend the life of your wig.
